Your wish list
Manhattan have been working in the social housing and shared ownership sector for over 30 years and we have developed what we consider is a comprehensive 'wish list' for RSLs:
- a dedicated service level agreement outlining lead times, call off deadlines, remedial lead times, etc.
- one named Manhattan point of contact;
- complete deliveries with no parts missing;
- pre-contract meetings before projects, even with supply-only projects;
- joint site surveys by Manhattan and the RSL;
- basic installation training for RSL's fitters.
Fulfilment of a range of requirements:
Kitchens for refurbishment:
- accurate surveying of properties;
- tenants' choices of doors, handles and worktops;
- accurate programming of deliveries, to dovetail with?other trades;
- rapid refurbishment and handover of the kitchen;
- training for clients' nominated fitters.
Kitchens for the rental market:
- supply only or supply and fit [therefore training for clients' nominated fitters];
- meeting storage capacity requirements;
- allow for cooker and appliance spaces;
- sturdy and fairly deep, single bowl sinks.
Kitchens for the shared ownership market:
- as for the rental market plus:
- inset hobs and built-under single ovens, with extractor hood;
- option to upgrade to 1.5 bowl sinks
For all kitchens:
- continued door availability for replacements within a reasonable period;
- sturdy, deep bowls, with a high neck tap to an agreed specification;
- quarter turn lever taps preferably with ceramic washers.
For special needs kitchens:
- meeting special needs requirements;
- adequate storage capacity;
- also catering for non-disabled occupants.
If you have something to add to this list, we'd love to hear it. E-mail us and we'll see if we can help.
