Tuk-Tuk is a Win-Win idea

test Tuk-Tuk is a Win-Win idea

When Manhattan was faced with the unpalatable prospect of closing the works canteen after decades of providing subsidised food for their workforce, Iain Flitcroft, Executive Chairman, came up with a bright idea. "Our business has close trading links with the Far East - we source both design and products there and are frequent visitors. I'm also a member of our local business park development group and understood how poor the catering provision was in the area. So we put our heads together, bought a real Thai Tuk Tuk over from Bangkok, employed a talented Thai cook, and haven't looked back since!"

For the first time in its 60 year history the Lancing Business Park has a dedicated restaurant facility where the business community can meet, relax, socialise and enjoy great, healthy, home-made food at tremendous prices.

And importantly, within the first year the net cost of the restaurant to the business has more than halved. It is estimated to be in profit within its second year.

"We've turned what was a £40k cost to the business into a potentially profitable concern - our workforce still have the real benefit of hot, nutritious food - essential when you're doing demanding physical work all day - and the business community has gained a valuable asset."

You can even hire the Tuk-Tuk Kitchen for parties and outside events!
