THE ROYAL WARRANT

In recent years Manhattan has manufactured and installed several kitchens for the Windsor Castle estate. As recognition of this achievement in January 2001, Manhattan Furniture was awarded the Royal Warrant as Kitchen Manufacturers and Installers to Her Majesty the Queen.

FIRA GOLD AWARD FOR PRODUCT

Manhattan was the first kitchen manufacturer to be awarded the Furniture Industry Research Association (FIRA) Gold Award for Product to test level H, for heavy domestic use.

This award is the ultimate mark of product excellence within the furniture industry, providing a solid reassurance that a product meets all necessary standards. The award provides comprehensive testing and ongoing auditing programmes, for a complete range or item of furniture, thus ensuring that it has been manufactured to the highest possible standards. This award is highly valued by manufacturers, specifiers and consumers within the furniture industry.

FIRA GOLD AWARD FOR INSTALLATION

Manhattan was the first contract kitchen manufacturer to also hold the Furniture Industry Research Association (FIRA) Gold Award for Installation.

This provides:

• confidence that our installation service has been evaluated and approved by the UK’s leading furniture technology centre;
• peace of mind that the product has been installed to the latest regulations and highest quality;
• impartial expert verification of quality.

HAPM LIFE ASSESSMENT

A benefit of achieving such high standards is that Manhattan achieves an HAPM life assessment of 20 years for carcase components and 25 years for doors and drawer fronts. Housing Association Property Mutual is a club consisting of more than 130 housing associations that provides insurance against premature failure of components, materials and assemblies in new and refurbishment schemes. The scheme is underpinned by a manual of lifespans that provide a series of generic specifications for each component.

BRITISH SAFETY COUNCIL AWARD

Manhattan is a member of the British Safety Council and has regularly received the British Safety Council award.
